Hello all from a new user! I am researching my family of Crode and Tucker from Harbour Grace, and would be really grateful to hear from anyone with any further information...here's what I know so far My 4xGreat Grandmother Mary Ann TUCKER, b 1798,Chudleigh, Devon, England, daughter of Thomas TUCKER and Mary PAIN. Its possible that her parents and/or other family spent some time in NFLD. she married John CRODE, 27 Mar 1815 in Harbour Grace. He was either a fisherman or shipwright, or both. Their child Matilda Tucker CRODE, bapt 11 Apr 1816, Harbour Grace. John died c 1826. Mary Ann then married James Coode and returned to England. Any information on CRODE or a connection between Mary Ann and other Tucker families would be wonderful...thank-you, Sally. |
