I am looking for info on early Belbens of Conception Bay. Specifically, there is a Thomas Belben whose 1710 will is transcribed on the NGB website within the Hampshire Records Office section of the wills listings. Could this will of a young Thomas apparently from Carbonear Island with a new young family be related to the William Belbens of Musketa (Harbour Grace district) born about 1750 and his father buried about 1782 (both listed in Harbour Grace parish records). Is there any known info to show any link between the William Sr and Jr and this mystery Thomas? Thanks. nitemarecooper |
