I am looking for Sheas, Staffords, Constants and Constantines in the Avalon Peninsula. Particularly of early origins. I have information on the Sheas of Pouch Cove connected to Sheas and Staffords in St Johns in the 1790s and early 1800s. I would like to make a link with a Shea man possibly named James who "went up shore" to Conception Bay, to Harbour Grace or Carbonear, around the same time. My Constantine roots are connected with two men named James & John Constant who came to Pouch Cove in the 1840s, from where I know not, but would love to find out. The family surname mutated to Constantine around 1900. |
