While going through the documents posted on this site I came upon on for William King who was in the 1708 census Next to it is a note ?Kinson?

I have traced Christopher King, a merchant of Wimborne noted in the will of Thomas Moore, to Kinson. Christopher King never lived in NL but was involved in supplying the fishing industry. He was born to Christopher and Mary Dean King of Ensbury Kinson and was apprenticed to a Wimborne merchant.

I have also found records linking John King of Bay de Verde to Kinson through sales record of his land in Kinson to his cousin Elias Spencer in about 1755. John was the son of Joan Spencer and Jeffery King. His wife was Elizabeth.

I am wondering why you suggest that William King might also be linked to this location in Dorset?

I suspect he might be but am looking for evidence. Any help appreciated
