Thomas Oliver Sr married Jane Palliser: Children are John (Elizabeth Oliver), Mary (James Goudie), Thomas Jr (Anne Taylor), Job (Margaret Goudie), Thursa (John Groves), Jemima (Joe Lloyd), Anne (Tom Groves), Sarah (Charlie Allen) and Elizabeth (William Wolfrey Sr, John Michelin).
Jane Palliser-Oliver is buried at Bluff Head, her husband was known as ‘English Tom’.

Anne Oliver died September 25, 1940. Anne Oliver was originally from Springfield, Newfoundland. Thomas Oliver Jr was born at Bluff Head. Tabitha Oliver was born on March 19, 1895 and died on August 31, 1959. Tabitha is buried at Graveyard Point, Mulliak.
It is believed that Jane Palliser traveled with her family to Labrador from the northern territories and settled in the Hamilton Inlet/Rigolet area.
According to an elder, Jane Palliser was the person who had introduced grass-sewing to Labrador.
