On the same lines, here's another. Without a survey map of the time, it seems impossible to locate it...
The Conception Bay Plantation Book states: In 1776, a parcel of land situated in Blackhead was given to John Mulley by his father-in-law (who is not named), "334 yards from South to North, bounded South by the sea, and North by the main path 101 yards from High Water Mark to the West by David Whelan. 1 Stage, 1 Flake, 2 Houses, 3 Gardens, 1 Meadow. from: The Provincial Archives
Any suggestions??

I believe I have found this piece of property. After talking in depth with my Uncle Jim, who has been on it, and spoken as it.
It's the High Water mark that concerns me now. That, to me, has to be on the brook.
Uncle Jim tells me the entrance to the property is across from the Parish. I now know the location, as I've been on the land and searched the cemetery. He tells me to the right, which puts it on the sea side of the 'main path'.
Since the record states "bounded by the North of the high water mark", this would put the piece of land on the North shore of Broad Cove, east of Rt 70 (the main path).
If anyone knows anyone living in that area that can assist me.... Please.. Especially if they now live on that land.
