I am curious if any of the BMDs for the Church of England in Bay Roberts covering the years from the 1830s thru the 1850s are available online. When I was at The Rooms in St. Johns a few years ago, I was able to search a copy of the records of St. Matthew's, which covered the majority of these years. Have these records been transcribed into Vital Statistics volumes? If yes, is the information available anywhere online? If no, is there a possibility that the information may become available or will I have to wait until I can visit Newfoundland again to have access to these records? Any and all information or leads will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, as far as I can see the earliest copies on-line are 1859. If you are looking for earlier records that are available at PANL, I have used an excellent local lady to go in and view records for me -- unless you're planning to go to Nfld in the near future, that is a lot cheaper route to go!
Regards, Carol

Dear Carol & Phyllis,
Carol: I have sent you a PM.
Phyllis: Thank you for the lead. I have checked the Port de Grave vital statistics. Some of the surnames did appear, but not with the given names for the people I am currently attempting to locate.
Thanx to both of you for your help.
Yours in genealogy, Mark
