My great-grandfather, Alexander BUTT was a Captain in the Merchant Marine's, but I don't know if his home port would have been in Newfoundland, or in Sydney, NS where he lived for a time. Can anyone tell me where to research information on the Merchant Marine's? thanks, Patti |
