My wife is the 3 x great granddaughter of John Rumbolt who was an apprentice to Slades in Battle habour, Labrador in 1784. I have got yearly reports from the Diaries but wondered if anyone knew where I might find more details about the apprenticeship papers.

I was hoping that they may indicate where John Rumbolt came from.

regards

Gordon

Gordon, I would be inclined to search the records of Hampshire, England for John Rumbolt (Rumbold).

John Slade, the Merchant, was from Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset.....although he operated out of Poole, Dorset.
