Hi,I was wondering if anyone here would have a idea as to a pair of castings I found while renovating a house in St,Johns. The castings are steel,in the shape of a 12" horseshoe with a deer head on the top of the shoe[curved end]. The open end of the shoe has a pair of hands across it in a hand shake .There are flowers cast down both sides of the horseshoe. They are painted brown and the flowers hand painted in green and yellow. There are no casting marks or insignias. They were found in a box containing a coal receipt from 1902. They appear to be used flat to a wall or something like that because the backs are raw casting. Just interested in what they are or used for. Derek
