Flatrock and Clowns Cove are in the FRESHWATER area near Carbonear, Conception Bay NL.You will find listings for those areas in the registers of Harbour Grace, Carbonear, Freshwater and Blackhead in Conception Bay.
Bell Island is a small Island in Conception Bay. A lot of people moved there to work in the MINE. Bell Island was a mining town for many years and lots of people from the Conception Bay area moved there to work.

Hello
In addition to Flat Rock and Clown's Cove, there were other smaller communities of Blow Me Down, Otterbury and Goosesbury Cove. They can be found in the registers of Harbour Grace, Carbonear, Freshwater and Blackhead in Conception Bay as well. Gooseberry Cove was located closer to Salmon Cove than Freshwater.
Many families in Carbonear can trace some of their families from that area. I would like to add one other place, Crocker's Cove. It is located between Carbonear and Freshwater.
