Post subject:  The Bowe family from the Goulds
I am researching my mother’s paternal line and am interested in finding out more about my Great Grandmother and her family. Catherine Bowe was born in the Goulds in 1878. She married James Dinn (1867-1950) in 1902 and they lived in St. John’s. I have yet to determine who Catherine’s parents were. If you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks!

John Bow Sr. born 1800 Ireland died 1898 Goulds . John Bowe Jr. Born 1837 Goulds died 1918 Goulds , James Bowe m. Mary Dinn 1896 Joseph Bowe m. Anastastia Coady 1892 Thomas Bowe b.1885 married Susanna ? Some of the Bowe's moved to Ontario.Catherine Bowe married James Dinn 1896. Shows Mary Ann Bowe, widow living with son Thomas, 1921 and her death 1926?

Doug, are you saying that the James Bowe who married 1896 Mary Dinn, and the Joseph Bowe who married 1892 Anastasia Coady are sons of John Bowe Jr. and UNK?

Who would be the father of Thomas Bowe b1885?

Is Catherine Bowe b1878 the sister of Thomas, James & Joseph? The dates fit, as does her marriage.

I have John Bowe Jr. (1837 - 1916) married Mary Ann UNK b1843.

Thomas Bowe b.1885 married Susan Dinn 1905 and they had a son Roache Bowe b.1905 .I think that the Bowe and Dinn and Raymond families were all connected from the Goulds area.

Thomas & Susan also had a son, Francis Joseph Bowe, born 18 oct 1906 Goulds, married 1 Jan 1930 Ellen Raymond, born 22 Aug 1907 Goulds, d/o Robert Raymond & Honora Brennan. Thomas & Ellen had 11 children.

I have Francis Joseph Bowe's brother, Roach (1905 - 1975), marrying 21 Oct 1928 Stella Marie Raymond (1905-1990), the sister of Thomas' wife Ellen. Roache and Stella had 13 children.

I'll have to do some more research into the past generations of Bowe, Dinn & Raymond families :D
