Have been researching the families of Henry Hawkins (1828ish-1905) and Alice Maidment of Twillingate since 2000. Currently working with a few descendants of Elijah and Edith Maidment. We believe their children were James, Elijah, Stephen and Samuel plus a few daughters, including Alice (born 1833 or 1834, died 1918). If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.
Other challenge is the origins of Henry himself. Born in England possibly in the Christchurch area of Hampshire/Dorsetshire (boundary change in 1974).

I am very intrested in your Benjamin Hawkins. I am Robert Hawkins from Stephenville Crossing on the West Coast. I am DNA related to his son Samuel George who marries Emily Sellars and was living on the Northern Penn and later moved to Halifax. If you get time, give me a call and we may be able to exchange info. Robert M. Hawkins 902-229-4959 anytime
Thanks.
