Hello
Steve Bailey here. My grandparents came to British Columbia from Newfoundland c. 1905. My grandmother, Emma Hood, was born in Bay Roberts, the daughter of James Hood and Caroline Parsons. My grandfather was born in Freshwater, the son of Mark Bailey and Ann Day - both youngest children in their respective families (Thomas Bailey/Mary Laite; Benjamin Day/Joan Stivey). The Baileys go back to around 1710 in the Salmon Cove (now Champneys) area.
Names associated with the Bailey lineage in Newfoundland are Day, Stivey, Jure, Penny, Laite, Pinson,Bugden.
Steve Bailey Coquitlam, British Columbia
