Thanks for letting me join this wonderful site. I am researching the Lockyer Families from Christchurch, Hampshire (now Dorset) More Crichel Dorset and West and East Parley Dorset, and any surrounding areas. I have taken a DNA test and have a lot of matches with folks from Newfoundland on ancestry, which has confused me no end. I would love to find out how I am connected, it would be my Mother's maternal family, and I have only got back as far as James Lockyer circa 1770's and Jane who could be a Cousin of his born circa 1790's from the above areas.
