Hi Christine. I’m also working on Long ancestry from King’s Cove & Open Hall. My ancestor’s name was Edward Long b. about 1846. I have searched through all of the C of E records & the RC records that were available at PANL. I’m still unable to find a record of his birth. His parents & siblings apparently were C of E , then they became RC. I really don’t know where to search next. Edward Long moved to St. John’s, married & died in 1906.

Hi, I have a Arthur T Long that married Martha Wyatt in St Johns 1904. W.J. Long was listed in marriage announcement. The wedding announcement did not say the relationship. I have Arthur born circa 1882. I cannot find any info on W.J or Arthur after this.
