Good Evening from British Columbia,

My name is Lesley Ward and I am looking for information about my Great Grandparents, Sarah Cummings born May 1863 in Lower Island Cove to Joseph Cummings and Lavinia Louis, and Robert John Day born 14 September 1861 also in Newfoundland, I believe. They Emigrated to Montreal in about 1895 where they were married and where my Grandfather Leslie Robert Day and his siblings were born.

One of Sarah's brothers, Joshua (1856-1936) and his wife, Sarah Ann Morris (1865-1950)emigrated to British Columbia.

Any help about to find information will be greatly appreciated. Especially by my 94-year-old mother.

My name is Lorne Harris, and I also live in British Columbia. My mother's maiden name was Lydia Cummings. She was born in Whales Brook (now named Brownsdale) Trinity Bay. Her parents were John and Eliza Ann (Armstrong) Cummings. My mother always spelled Cummings without the 'g' (Cummins). Lydia married John Harris (my father) of Russell's Cove (now named New Melbourne) Trinity Bay :roll: . They moved to Montreal (where I was born) in 1922. Please contact me and we can exchange information on the Cummings/Cummins family.
