Hi Keith, We corresponded once before when you directed me to information in the Brown Family Bible on this site. I am trying to continue to research Jesse Brown's (1872-1941) line. I think he is descended from Christopher Brown (1850-1900), Thomas Brown (1815-?) and James Sheppard (1798-?). Does this seem to match any of your research into the Brown name? Jesse was my great-grandfather. His son, Hezekiah "Harry" Brown (1895-1986) was in the military in Nfld - I have a photo of him in uniform - but I have so far been unable to find any info on his military service. Perhaps you can direct me to a source? Also, in his newspaper retirement notice from Boston Edison it states that he taught school in Nfld. I'd love to know more about that, too. I imagine back then there might have been many small schools; how would I research those? Thanks in advance! Jenni Cook |
