Hello everybody. I have been researching my family for 12 years. I am looking at the Nutt side of my family and would be grateful to hear from anyone connected to the Nutt family in Newfoundland. I believe my 8 or 9 times great grandfather may have been the pirate Captain John Nutt who plied his 'trade' off the shores of the Torbay area in about 1620-1623. He returned with his wife and children to his birth area of Devon in southern England after about 1624. Any information about him, his family or Newfoundland pirates would be gratefully received. I live in southern England so if anyone wants help or local knowledge I am happy to help. Thanks Sally |
