Hello. I have been researching the Lyons family, known to have come from Bay Roberts. My great grandfather, Jacob Lyons, married Elizabeth French in the Methodist Church in Spaniards Bay in 1890, and there is no other record I've found of Jacob, although his wife's family has lots of links I've been able to locate. Thanks for any leads.

Hello,
I'm enclosing three links in this reply. They are from familysearch.org and refer to a Jacob Lyons. The first is his birth record...born to Richard and Rebecca Lyons on Oct. 23, 1863 at the Ponds in the district of Port De Grave. Baptised on Nov. 15, 1863. Entry is line #7 on the page.

Here is a link to his marriage record to Elizabeth French...as you know. The marriage on Dec. 10, 1890 was in the United Church of Bay Roberts, in the district of Port de Grave. Line #6 on the document.

There is also a death record of a Jacob Lyons for you to consider, dated March 5, 1911...line #6 on the document.

Hope you can open the links.

To Linda Moss: :P I am so grateful to you. My great grandfather's records were so hard to locate for me, a neophite at this genealogy study, and you uncovered records that mean a great deal to me and my family. Many, many thanks!
