I am trying to source family information and/or information on the Fishing stations in operation in Placentia Bay during the late 1700s and early 1800s. I have been led to believe one of my ancestors "William Cooke" had a fishing station at Paradise Harbour during that time (1801+?). Before that time it may have been owned by his great uncle George Cooke.
