I think they lived @ #1 Pope Street acording to a street atlas record of 1898...
My Grandfather William King Evans born 05 Sept 1899 in St Johns. He had 13 sibblings in his family. William was close friends with Herbie Cole of Torbay, his father was Solomon Levi Cole. William went to Nova Scotia during World War 1 and joined the Nova Scotia Highlanders in the AMC. In 1919 he returned to St Johns, then of to Calgary. In the 1930's he moved to Port Alberni BC with his wife Alice Frazee. He retired in Parksville, BC and passed away in 1968. William had a sister he visited who lived in New Brunswick. I would like to hear from any one who recalls the family.
