Hello all, I have been an avid fan of this site for many years and I thank you for the countless hours of dedicated service all associated with the site have invested. You have been an enormous help to me in tracing my family. My name is Peter Charles Davis and I began recording family info many years ago as a favour for my father Eldon Ralph Davis. He had collected a great deal of family info and with failing health he worried it would be lost forever. More recently I have concentrated on mother's family trying to get all I can while we still have her. I descend from the Freshwater Davis family and my mother was a Ward from St. John's. I have much on the Davis side but little on the Ward side. The Davis's have been in NL much longer than Ward’s. Parent - Eldon Ralph Davis 1921-2007 & Patricia Eugenie Louise Ward 1932- G Parents - (Eleazar Davis 1877-1965 & Harriet Goodison Pike 1877-1952), (Campbell Pollett Ward 1907-1998 & Lillian May Dwyer 1902-1998) GG Parents - (Ebenezar Davis 1852-1925 & Sarah Lilias Davis 1857-1935), (George Edward Pike 1837-1895 & Henrietta Parsons 1844-1906), (Rev. Ernest Pollett Ward 1877-1919 & Henrietta Campbell 1882-1965), (George Ralph Dwyer 1871-1937 & Sarah Howell 1877-1966) I am currently trying to resolve Ebenezar Davis & Sarah Lilias Davis. It is believed they were 2nd cousins and descended from William Davis of Harbour Grace. Peter Davis |
