Hi from New Jersey. I'm looking for information on John Joseph Vallis of Coombs Cove, Fortune Bay. He was married to Bessie Fiander in the early 1900's. His children were Alton, Matthew, Emma, Catherine, Meta, Mary and Thomas. Meta was adopted into the US (Staten Island) by Bessie's sister Emily Fiander Stokes. His father, James Vallis, was married to Mary Ann Fudge. One of their children was Alton, who I believe was lost at sea.
