Hi, I am looking for information on the Wall family, Harbor Main, Holyrood, Grand Falls, Newfoundland. Gerard Wall Born 1907 parents Nicholas Wall, Mary Ann Maloney date of death? marriage? children? also any brothers or sisters to Nicholas? He was born to the best of my knowledge 1877 to Nicholas Wall and Margaret Bennett. Nicholas was born 1843. |

If you google on this site on the home page " Harbor Main Parish records" you find some information. I checked the years 1871-1886 baptisms and found born to Nicholas and Margaret Bennet (who married Jan.12, 1875) Anastasia bap. Oct 20 1875 (sub condition) Nicholas bap Aug 5, 1877 John, Aug 10, 1879 Francis, Aug 14, 1881 ( Sub Condition) I do not know for sure what sub condition means so maybe someone else can answer that. You can verify the info I gave you and you can also reach those pages by going to the top of this page, clicking Districts and choosing Harbor main. I too am researching Walls from Newfoundland. My ancestor was Philip Wall (spouse = Jane French), immigrated from Ireland around early 1800s. His son was Patrick and he married my great grandmother, Marianne Angel (Angell) in Petty Harbor in 1808. It would be interesting to know their history in that area. |
