Newfoundland's Grand Banks Message Board

I am new to the site and hoping to use it to assist me find details of my great grandmothers ancestors in Newfoundland. Jemima emigrated to New Zealand approx 1878, after her marriage to Samuel Brown in Trinity Bay in 1873.
I reside in Wellington, New Zealand.

Hello Dianne,
I will give you the following to consider...from the church records online through familysearch.org. The Trinity South Hant's Harbour (Methodist) Church has a record of the birth of twins Jemima and William Richard, to Levi and Susan Stanley. They were born on Aug. 21, 1851 and baptised on Sept. 28, 1851. Here is the link to that document.

Levi Stanley and Susanna Pelly were married in the same church on Nov. 20, 1850. Here is the link to that . Couple #4 on the page.

If you feel this is worth looking into further...you might find records for siblings and grandparents in the church records.
