Is there a search feature on this site. It would be great if names or towns could be searched...as you can see, I'm new to the site.

To All

There is a Google search box at the bottom of every page on the site which will search the entire site of over 95,000 files of information.

There is also a second Google search box found in many of the subject areas, such as the 1921 census. This subject search box will search just the information contained in the same subject as the page you are on. For example, this second Google Search Box found at the bottom of any of the 1921 census pages will only search within the 1921 census. The same thing holds true for any of the various subject areas which have the second local area search box along with the entire site search box.

Watch that you limit the search query, as the Google search will only return the first 100 entries it finds. They will listed in the order of most relevant to the query. Normal Google search rules will work with these two boxes.
