Hi William: I just stumbled upon your name and read about your interest in finding your father's roots dating back to Chance Cove, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland. Yes, I certainly be of help to you. My husband is Eleazer (Otto) Smith of Chance Cove, Trinity Bay. His mother's name is Virtue Smith (your aunt, still living), and brothers were Harold Smith, now deceased. (P.S.: Harold's name was changed to Brace, due to death of mother in early childhood, and was adopted by a Brace family of Chance Cove), and the late Eleazer Smith of Scotland, who was your father. Your grandfather was Jacob Smith.

Also, your father lived in NL around 1983-84 in order to be eligible for the War pension, which he did receive.

If there is any further information that I can provide you with, I would be happy to do so.

Rita Smith &
Al Smith
