DAVIS / MCLEOD
Looking for information about my great grandmother's ( Susannah Davis McLeod Brake ) family. Her father was George R. Davis from Freshwater , Carbonear. I do not know her mother's name. Would like to find information re her parents births, marriage and deaths. Would also appreciate information about any of Susannah's siblings.
Susannah's first marriage ( ? date /place) was to a Captain John McLeod . I believe he may have been born in Nova Scotia. Susannah and Capt. McLeod had one daughter and two sons.
I have been told that Capt. McLeod died at sea but cannot validate this information.
Susannah married my great grandfather, Albert Edward Brake of Meadows in 1890.
Would appreciate any information anyone might be able to provide.

These never copy well so I will e-mail them to you also. Here are the marriage records of Susannah's parents. Her birth and a couple siblings. There were probably more- just do a search in vital statistics in cabonear district under methodist. Also shows her marriage to Edward brake. I hope this will get you started. Linda
