My name is Stacey. I've been researching my maternal grandmother's family for a number of years. I'm very familiar with this awesome website and decided it was high time I register for the message board.
My grandmother's family name is MONKS of Kings Cove, Bonavista Bay.

Maybe you can help me. My family had a branch that moved to Massachusetts in the early 1900's. I have so much of a trail but I need to know how to get a phone number or, better yet, a mailing address in the State. They have no idea that they have relatives in Nfld. as my Grandfather's cousin died in WW1 and his wife and children moved to your State. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for the late answer. The main name I have is Francis Patrick Boland. This https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/J518-N65 was Patrick's son. I believe one of his sons was Matthew Hawes Boland and another was James Bradford Boland ( who may have been adopted). Patrick's wife was Frances (Hawes) Boland whose family originated in Boston and she was living in Cape Breton when she met Patrick. More to follow when I remember where I put the papers!
