Hello! My name is Mark Parsons and I live in Leeds, Massachusetts. My connection to Newfoundland is through my paternal grandparents. They were Ralph Parsons and Daisy Carivan, who were both from Bay Roberts. I am the current family historian after my uncle passed away a few years ago. I have visited Bay Roberts about four years ago and hope to return in the near future.

Hi Mark
I have a great Aunt, my grandmothers sister Auntie Bride who married an Allan Parsons in Newfoundland, they have about 6 children, one of them was named Ralph. I would say this Ralph was born in the 1920's or 1930's. I don't know where on the Island Allan Parsons was from, but the children were raised in St John's. Allan & Bride, my Ralphs parents ran a general store in Newfoundland back in the 1950's.
If any of this sounds possible let me know please. Kind regards

Dear Astrotraveller,
I am sorry to say our Ralphs are not the same person. My Ralph Parsons was born in 1897 in Bay Roberts to James and Amelia Parsons. With his first wife Winifred Keefe, he had two sons named Ralph James Peter and Charles Allan Augustus. They were born in the early 1920s in Massachusetts.
Yours in genealogy, Mark
