Hello, I am looking for information on my grandmother and grandfather's families. My grandmother's name is Gertrude Mary Ezekiel and she was born December 12, 1905 in Harbour Main, Newfoundland to Michael & Anna (Hawco) Ezekiel. She had 2 brothers, Christopher & Joseph. In 1935, Joseph caught a giant squid (his photo is on this website). My grandfather's name is Thomas Griffin and he was born November 29, 1907 in Knights Cove, Newfoundland to John & Mary (Nolan) Griffin. Gertrude arrived in New York in 1927 and in 1931 her and Thomas were married. They had 4 children...Thomas, Donald, Rosemarie and Kevin. Any information would be greatly appreciated. |

I checked the Parish records for St. Peter and Paul Harbour Main. Gertrude had another brother Paul born and baptised Nov 8 1908, probably died as a child. I found Michael and Ann Ezekiel in the 1921 census for Harbour Main. Michael would be the son of Paul Ezekiel and Lucy Gorman.
