Hi everyone,
my name is Cath and I,m fairly new to genealogy / family history. I have recently discovered a 2nd cousin died in St. Johns, Newfoundland when only 22 and would like to try and find out more about him. His name was James Martin and he died 13th December 1942 as a result of injuries sustained in a fire at the Knights of Columbus Hostel fire. Is there any way of accessing his RCNVR records online? I know his family lived in Toronto, emigrating from Ireland when he was 16 months old, his parents were David and Patricia Agnes (always known as Agnes) Martin and were born in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Grateful for any info on RCNVR, his service number was 22685, his rank: coder and he is buried St. Johns, Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
