Hello all
My name is Douglas Eric Russell and currently a new member and living in Ontario.
My father was Wilfred Allen Russell and my paternal grand parents were Azariah Russell and Henrietta Russell (nee Fradsham) and my great grand parents were William Russell and Elizabeth Russell(nee Mercer)
My mother was Pretoria Russell (nee Cooper) and my maternal grand parents were Eli Cooper and Selina Cooper (nee Morris ????)
Currently looking for relation-ships for Russell's in Coley's Point / Bay Roberts and
Cooper's in Grates Cove / Trinity Bay

My records indicate that Eli Cooper of Grates Cove married Selina Snow from Bay Roberts 28 November 1893 in St. John's. Pretoria was born in 1914. Are we talking about the same family?

My Grandparents were Stephen & Elizabeth Russell of Coley's Point. Stephen, Azariah, William & Abram were brothers and they had two sisters Elizabeth married to a William Mercer and Jane Maria who married a George Cooper. This makes your father and my father 1st cousins. I'm working on the Russell Family Tree and would be quite happy to help fill in any missing links if possible.

My Great Grandmother was Jane Russell who married Isaac Kelly of Coleys Point. Her parents were John Russell and Sarah Parsons, who I believe were from Bay Roberts East. I have no further information. She did have siblings, a brother John and sisters Eliza, Susannah, Naomi, Fanny, Sarah and Rachael.
