Passed suddenly away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, November 25, 2006, Thomas Bailey of Burin. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Mary, and brother Gerard. leaving to mourn his loving wife Judy, special baby Jaden, sisters Magdalene (Joe Pittman) of Marystown and Von (Len Kelly) of Lower Sackville, NS and brother Lou (Evelyn) of Burin. Fr. Ted O'Connor conducted funeral mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown, Tuesday, November 28. Interment was at Penney's Pond R.C. Cemetery. Pallbearers were Eugene Power, Hughie McGettigan, junior Bailey, Sean Fitzgerald, Paul Quinn and Jeff Penny. Crossbearer was Joey Pittman. Flowers gratefully accepted. Funeral arrangements entrusted tot he care of White Dove Funeral Homes.

BROCKERVILLE, Jessica
Passed suddenly away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre November 20, 2006, Jessica Brockerville of Lawn in her 14th year. Leaving to mourn her loving parents Max and Darlene Brockerville, sister Lenita Brockerville (husband Ferdie Strang) of Toronto, brother Max Brockerville (Wendy), niece Brooklyn, grandparents Sadie and Pius Tarrant and Alice Brockerville. Fr. Regis Kemela conducted funeral mass at Holy Name of Jesus roman Catholic Church in Lawn Friday, November 24. Pallbearers were Kyle Follett, Josh Tarrant, Colby Slaney, Lucas Strang, Jonathan Strand and Jonathan Cusick. Crossbearer was Tyler Isaacs. Donations may be made to the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Home.

CLARKE, Richard (Rick) Joseph
Passed peacefully away his residence in Brooks, Alberta on November 7, 2006 at the age of 47 years. Born in Terrenceville, Newfoundland on June 2, 1959 he moved in Grand Bank with his family at the age of 14 and completed his schooling at John Burke High School.Rick and Rita Dunford were married on Aril 22, 1978 at Fortune and resided in Grand Bank. Rick fished until coming west to Brooks in 2001. He had worked for Lakeside, Armor Building systems, had managed apartment buildings, and was caretaker at the Elk's Lodge, the Brooks College and for the past two years for Grasslands School Division and the Sunrise School. Rick will be lovingly remembered being a wonderful husband, a loving father and grandfather, for his big heart, his sense of humour and for his kindness and support. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Elizabeth. Rick is survived by his loving family, wife Rita; daughter Crystal (Shawn) Matthews; son Christopher (Jackie Roy) and grandson Nathan; son Michael all of Brooks; 4 sisters Gertie Parsons of Fortune, Margaret Clarke of Cold Lake, Alberta, Sheila Marsh of St. John's and Jenny Follett of Grand Bank; 6 brothers Tom of Fort McMurray, Brian of Edmonton, Gerald of Cold Lake, Bernard and Gordon of Marystown, and Guy of Cold Lake and their families. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 10th from Smith Memorial Chapel, Brooks. Rev. John Theiss officiated. In memory of Rick, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made either directly to the family or to Brooks Home Care Program, Bag 300, Brooks, Alberta T1R 1B3. Passed away at Barrie, Ont. Lilly Cluett from Frenchman's Cove on November 30, 2006 in her 46 year. Predeceased by parents Mary and Chesley Cluett, brothers James and Manuel, sister Emily. Leaving to mourn husband Ron, son Matthew and daughter Michelle. 6 sisters: Theresa (John) Rice, Knoxville, Helen Chafe and Violet Cluett at Alberta, Margerta (John) Elsewroth at Boston, Alice Snook and Mary (Max) Hillier at Grand Bank. 3 brothers: Louis (Sarah) Cluett, Leslie (Donna) Cluett of Frenchman's Cove, Chesley (Mary) Cluett at Grand Bank; sister-in-law Alfreda Cluett at Grand Bank, and a large circle of family and friends.

DUCEY, Anna Mary
Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles Nursing Home, November 18, 2006, Anna Mary Ducey of Marystown in her 90th year. Predeceased by three brothers, Douglas, Vincent and James: six sisters Mary Lake, Margaret Ducey, Irene Coady, Sarah Coady, Bernice Pike and Veronica Lomond. Leaving to mourn sister-in-law Susanna Ducey, 43 nieces and nephews, plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Fr. Ted O'Connor conducted funeral mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown Tuesday, November 21. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Marystown. Pallbearers were Frank Coady, Russ Lomond, Felix Coady, Kevin Coady, Alex Holley and Ernie Pennell. Crossbearer was Neil Coady. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. Passed suddenly away at his residence in Fortune on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, Clayton R. Engram, age 72 years. Predeceased by parents James and Martha Engram; mothers and father-in-law Mary and Ralph Dominie, sister Myrtle Strickland, brother Hubert Engram and grandson Stirling Perham. He leaves to mourn: wife Margaret at Fortune; 4 daughters Bernice Perham (Ed) at Pool's Cove; Geraldine Engram at St. John's; Michelle Matthews (Dave) at Grand Bank; and Teena Engram at St. John's; son Todd (Amanda) Engram at Shilo, Manitoba; 6 grandchildren Sheldon,Stephanie, Tyler, Adam, Scott and Alexis, 2 sisters Eileen Strickland at Red Deer, Alberta and Effie Cole at Halifax. Brothers-in-law Roy (Nina) Dominie at Hr. Breton; Eli (Darlene) Dominie at Pool's Cove; sisters-in-law Ruth rose at Grand Bank; and Rosie Engram at Gander, plus special niece Linda (Eric) Kendell and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Passed away at the Grand Bank Health Care Centre on Monday, November 20, 2006, Robert J. Evans of Grand Bank, age 75 years. Predeceased by parents Harry and Rosanna Evans; wife Velma; and sister Alice. He leaves to mourn: daughter Donna Evans at Mount Pearl; son Harry Evans (Audrey)at Grand Bank; 3 grandchildren Bradley, Paul and Scott; special friend Elsie Follett, also a circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Lewis Crewe from Warren's Funeral home, Grand Bank on Thursday, November 23rd at 2 p.m. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Grand Bank. Passed peacefully away at St. John's, November 12, 2006, Lillian Fleming of Lamaline in her 85th year. Predeceased by:  husband Michael Fleming. Predeceased by mother Genevieve, father Thomas, and brothers John and Raymond. Passed peacefully away on November 16, 2006 at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex, Janet Freeborn, age 90 of Harbour Mille. Predeceased by husband Charles; sister Phoebe; brothers John and George and nephew John Greene. Left behind to remember her with love and beautiful memories, daughters Mary (William) Myles, Ada (Herb) Spurrell; sister, Ada (Cecil) Greene, North Sydney; grand children: Debbie Myles, Tammy (Richard Moos), Danny (Olga) Myles, Andrew Myles (Naomi); two great-grandchildren: Danielle and Joshua, plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Interfaith Home, Grand Bank on November 7, 2006, Ida Senior of Winterland in her 89th year. Leaving to mourn her daughters: Viola (husband Harvey Senior) of Winterland; Mildred (husband Stanley Rideout) of Grand Bank; daughter-in-law: Gladys Paddle of Red Harbour; sister: Esther (husband Clayton Burton) of Little Bay East; sister-in-law: Georgina Ford butt (sic) of Springdale six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by husband Charles Paddle, husband Albert Senior, son Arleigh Paddle and grandson Boyd Paddle; parents John and Hannah Stacey; brothers William and Heber Stacey and sister Blanche Stacey. Passed peacefully away at his residence in Grand Bank on Wednesday, November 8, 2006, Clyde L. Warren, age 76 years. Predeceased by parents James and Annie Warren, and sister Ruby. He leaves to mourn: wife Shirley at Grand Bank; 3 daughters Dorothy Harvey (Norman) at Grand Bank; Maxine Harvey (Freeman) at Brooks, Alberta, and Darlene Mews (Corey)at Brooks, Alberta; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; brother John Ben Warren (Isabella) at Grand Bank. Funeral service was conducted by Majors Frank and Rita Pittman from the Salvation Army, Grand Bank on Saturday, November 11, 2006, at 2 p.m. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Band.
