donated by The Small Family Photos donated by Jim Ogilvie, Ayr, Scotland. In 1994, Hugh Small visited Ayr Cemetery in Scotland. There he recorded the graves of WWI soldiers of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment. The Cemetery contains one large communal gravestone and 14 single gravestones.
Photo by Jim Ogilvie, Ayr, Scotland. There is also a monument that remembers all the Soldiers buried elsewhere in Scotland. It has a Caribou cap badge etched in metal:
and the inscription:
"To the Glory of God and in Memory
of those Men of the Newfoundland Contingent who lie buried elsewhere in Scotland"

These fourteen names are all single markers with the Caribou cap badge etched in stone at the top.
